Dear Mr Hunt and Professor Waite.

The Tory Party is turning the NHS into a latter day Klondyke.

It seems to us that the only difference between then and modern day fortune hunters - entrepreneurs - is that now the know exactly where to pan for their gold

Mark Britnell (Head of Health Policy at KPMG) gave the game away when he said, "The NHS will be shown no mercy and the best time to take advantage of this will be in the next couple of years."

The NHS will be shown no mercy as the entrepreneurs make big profits.

 But he forgot to add, neither will be the sick, the elderly and the dying.

In the greedy stampede to, "make big profits" the sick, the elderly and the dying appear to be being trampled under foot in ever increasing numbers. We're told by the Royal College of Surgeons that, "The sick have misguidedly become soft targets for NHS savings."

Big profits and NHS savings - a new double whammy from the Tory Party.

You have to ask yourself how was this allowed to happen? And the answer was thanks to the Lib Dem/Tory Coalition Government and the Health And Social Care Act 2012 which wasn't discussed during that general election campaign the one which saw David Cameron refuse to discuss these matters in live debate.

   He has said, "The NHS is safe in my hands."

What he should have said is the, "NHS is a safe in my hands and the hands of those cronies I conveniently forgot to do anything about - and we're the only ones who know the combination."

Dr Clive Peedell was correct in saying, "The Health And Social Care Act was preparing the ground for the destruction of the NHS as a publicly funded, publicly accountable universal healthcare system free at the point of need."

As those managers/entrepreneurs who "fixed/rigged/captured" the markets in the NHS take more and more profits from it, transparency and accountability is correspondingly becoming less and less.

  

Transparency and accountability being the inevitable casualties of big NKS profits.

David Bennett, Chair of "Monitor" said the NHS could become like other privatised utilities. Monitor could potentially become a regulator like Ofcom, Ofgen and Ofwat.

"We in the UK have done this in other sectors before. We did it in gas, we did it in power, we did it in telecoms - we've done it in rail, we've done it in water, so there's actually 20 years of experience in taking monopolistic, monolithic markets and providers and exposing them to economic regulation."

Exposing them to economic regulation? What a success that hasn't been. As for Tesco - it has recently been fined £129M after an investigation by the Serious Fraud Office for overstating its profits.

If that's how 207 health services are to be regulated by the Tory Party and their business associates then we really should all unite as we'll have nothing to lose but our hospital-chains.

Q. Professor Waite, haven't you also given the game away at Livewell Southwest Ltd, when your Anonymous Desk Reviewer stated that the patient's health had worsened in the last two weeks of their life at that this had not been predicted and that they are therefore to pay the full cost of their nursing care fees minus the last two weeks?

There would appear to be no data published on these truly appalling decisions.

Q. Mr Hunt, how many thousands of the sick, the elderly and the dying up and down this country are being given such appalling decisions and why are the statistics impossible to find?
