409) Ombudsman Services:Property Ch 1: The Ombudsmans61percent Campaign From 5th December 2010 - 15th December 2015.
Dear Mr Javid,
The Ombudsmans61percent campaign is moving to: www.blogger.com: theombudsmans61percentcampaign because "BlogForever" is closing on 15th December 2015.
We first complained to the Chair of Ombudsman Services:Property, Prof. Dame Janet Finch on the 5th December 2010. A long 5 years ago.
We sent the Chair 100 questions. She handed them to the CEO and Chief Ombudsman, The Rev. Lewis Shand Smith who handed our complaint about the Lead Ombudsman back to the lead Ombudsman, Gillian Fleming. She said our questions had already been answered.
Only they hadn't.
Ombudsman Services is a black hole in our democracy.
Information goes into this private redress scheme but none comes out.
It has a Lead Ombudsman who routinely doesn't ask questions and who doesn't answer them either. And an ombudsman who doesn't ask or answer questions cannot conduct a meaningful investigation of a consumer's complaint.
Evidence for the huge levels of dissatisfaction this caused was once gathered by DJS Research via their Customer Satisfaction Reports. Those mismanaging the scheme put a stop to this. Now, no meaningful data on just how effective they are at resolving disputes "fairly" and "independently" is published.
There is no transparency or accountability.
However, we do know that the executives maladminister consumer complaints. The evidence for this maladministration came from the company's Independent Assessor. It was documented in her "First and Last Report - 2015."
We also know that the executives who maladminister this private redress scheme apparently aren't averse to throwing parties when they clear backlogs of consumers' complaints by the simple expedient of cutting and pasting the lead Ombudsman's signature to reports written by investigating officers and sending them out to unsuspecting members of the public.
Mr Javid, that you knowingly allow this to happen surely holds our democracy in contempt.

- compensation for the victims of the Lead Ombudsman's illogical Final Decisions.
- the setting up of a truly "fair" and "independent" redress scheme free from RICS' influence.
