Property Industry Eye report that:

"Shand Smith said, 'Redress in the housing sector is a really confusing picture for all involved. The patchwork ADR and ombudsmen schemes is a mystery to consumers and is therefore incredibly difficult for them to navigate."

Q. The Rev Shand Smith, isn't it a mystery that you haven't produced an annual report for the whole of 2017 and doesn't this add to the confusing picture for all involved?

"We are ceasing what we are currently doing in the housing sector in a professional and planned way, because we believe it is not adding value."

Q. The Rev Shand Smith, in 2010 the Property Ombudsman's financial awards stood at £1.511.75p by 2015-16 they had plummeted to £50. Didn't this add value to your Members' business practices?

"Rather than continue to offer a broken solution to a broken market, we are stepping away to listen to what consumers actually want."

Q. The Rev Shand Smith, why is your solution broken?

Q. The Rev Shand Smith, why did you end DJS Research's contract to produce Customer Satisfaction Reports when they were telling you exactly what consumers actually wanted?

Finally were told,

"Housing is one of the biggest issues we face as a nation, and a fair, balanced, redress system will make sure that it serves the whole of society. We want to work to develop a model that works for everyone."

Q. Mrs Leadsom, Mr Clark and Mr Javid, the consumer was once told that Ombudsman Services had provided them with a superb model of ADR. The BIS had a close and continuing relationship with Ombudsman Services. How did the Government monitors permit it to become, "broken?"
